GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, announced today that the club has signed forward D’Artagnan Joly to a contract.
Joly, 22, signs with Greenville amidst his first season with the Brock University Badgers, for whom he totaled seven points (1g, 6a) in seven appearances this season. He joins former Badgers teammates Ayden MacDonald and Connor Russell, who signed with the Swamp Rabbits last month.
Before his collegiate appearances, the 6’3”, 181-pound winger played 258 games in the QMJHL over five seasons. In his final season of juniors, the Gatineau, QC native scored 27 points (5g, 22a) in 28 games with the Halifax Mooseheads and an additional goal and three assists in 7 games with Rimouski Océanic.
A former sixth-round pick (Pick #171) of the Calgary Flames during the 2017 NHL Draft, Joly played alongside Swamp Rabbits teammate Bradley Lalonde during the 2017-18 with QMJHL side Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
For the first time this season, the Swamp Rabbits welcome the Norfolk Admirals to Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Friday, February 4 at 7:05 p.m.
