CaptureCHECKERS ANNOUNCE CLEAR DAY PERIOD ROSTER
List includes 22 players eligible for remainder of season and playoffs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte Checkers, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, have released their 22-man Clear Day period roster.

According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2010-11 AHL regular season and in the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

The complete list of 22-man Clear Day rosters can be found on theahl.com.

Sixteen of the AHL’s 30 teams will qualify for the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs, which will get under way during the second week of April. For complete qualification rules and up-to-date standings, as well as for Calder Cup history, records and all-time championship rosters, visit theahl.com.

The Checkers (35-22-2-6) return home tonight for an important East Division showdown against the Binghamton Senators at 7 p.m. For ticket information, call 704-342-4423 or visit www.gocheckers.com.
