Maybe Corey Potter is not coming back to the Pack just yet? As we noted, Potter was solid in his 13:52 minutes of play and picked up his first NHL point on an assist of Dimitri Kalinin's first goal since Clinton was in office…okay maybe that's an exaggeration, it was his first goal in over 50 games, it just seemed like that long. It also could mean that whatever issue Michael Rozsival is dealing with might take more time than was originally expected and he will need to be in New York for a while longer.
That's one scenario. The other is that one of the Pack's defenseman got nicked up in last night's game between the Pack and Springfield.
The reason for this conjecture?
The Pack have recalled defenseman Chris Murray from Charlotte.
Here is the official release from the team:
Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team
has recalled defenseman Chris Murray from its ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte
Checkers.
Murray, a second-year pro out of the
University of New Hampshire, played 12 games earlier in the season with the Wolf
Pack, registering three assists, 19 penalty minutes and a +4.In
15 ECHL contests with the Checkers, the 6-2, 190-pound native of Dover, MA had
one assist and 40 PIM, second-most on the team
