WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

wolfpack logo A couple of updates on some ex-Pack players. Marvin Degon told Howlings that he is playing this season in Germany. Many of you have asked about Mike Busto from time to time. The ex-Checker will play for Hamilton this coming season. Derek Armstrong will likely be back in the AHL with Peoria. Francis Lessard was sent to San Antonio with Mitch Fritz. Boyd Kane is back in Hershey with Vladimir Denisov. Dylan Reese will play for Syracuse with Brock McBride. Hugh Jessiman is back in Milwaukee with the Admirals. Our old friend Jed Ortmeyer is still with the San Jose Sharks. Jake Taylor will be back in Springfield. Dean Arsene has been given his outright release by Edmonton.

Jozef Balej is back in the Czech league with Trinec Ocelari HC. Ivan Baranka is in Russia playing with Moscow Spartak. Martin Grenier is in the KHL with Chelyabinsk Traktor. Jeff Hamilton is in the Swiss A-League with Lugano.

Jarkko Immonen is also in Russia. He's playing with Kazan Ak-Bars. If you were curious about the lovable Darius Kasparaitis, you'll find him still at it in the KHL for his third year with St. Petersberg SKA.

Brandon Sugden is in the AHL with Hershey.

If you have a name of a former Pack player and want to know what happened to them, send us a note and let us know.

If that’s the case, then that makes perfect sense. Phoenix is, as I’ve said a zillion times, Rangers-West. It doesn’t surprise me in the least that Donnie would talk a chance on yet another ex-Pack/Ranger that he brought into the organziation. That’s why I’m so sure he will take P.A. Parenteau today. But I guess we’ll have to see… Thanks for sharing the info.

Sather takes alot of knocks for his selections. But they are mainly choices of others with his ultimate OK. Maloney is getting alot of these back now. The one that may work out for Maloney is Al Montoya. These goaltenders are either way up or way down. Ben Allaire makes the decisions here I am almost certain.

Mr. Mitch, would like to know if you possibly might know the where abouts’ of a few older pack players: Brad Smyth, Tony Tuzzolino, Dale Purinton and Chris Kenedy. Thanks.
