Stop Polio Cold Night

Rotary JerseyThe Greenville Road Warriors will join forces with the Rotary Club to raise money for ending polio worldwide! The Road Warriors will face off against South Carolina in special jerseys that will be auctioned off live following the game, with proceeds going to benefit Rotary of Greenville’s “End Polio Now” campaign contributions. Tickets can be purchased through the Greenville Rotary Club by calling 864-235-2293 or by visiting their website (tickets ordered through the club will contribute up to $3.50 to the fundraising efforts). There will also be special souvenir pucks on sale that night, and every $1 from every walk-up ticket will be donated to the cause.

Scout Night

Girl ScoutsBoy ScoutThe very next night will be the Road Warriors’ first Annual Scout Night at the BI-Lo Center. Boy and Girl Scouts throughout the Upstate are eligible for special discounted tickets if they come out to the game with their pack or troop. Scouts receive special patches for participating in Scout Night. After the game, the Road Warriors are offering boy scouts the opportunity to camp out overnight on the BI-LO Center concourse and watch a movie on the video board. “Road Warriors Live”

Get inside Road Warriors information straight from the source at the “Road Warriors Live” at Quaker Steak & Lube on Monday, February 21st at 7:00pm. Join Radio Ray as he interviews Coach Dean Stork and Brandon Wong as they talk about what goes on behind the scenes of the team. Fans will have the opportunity to ask questions that they will answer live on the air, and also win one of five pairs of tickets to a future home game that will be given away. You can also listen to each Coach’s Show online.

Away Game Viewing Parties

This week, the Road Warriors will face off against the South Carolina Stingrays on the road as well. The team will be headed to North Charleston Coliseum on Tuesday, February 15th at 7:05pm and again on Sunday, February 20th at 4:00pm. Remember that you can always watch the away games at Bailey’s Sports Grille, the only place in Greenville that carries every Road Warriors game. Join fellow Road Warriors’ fans and don’t miss a minute of the action. You can also listen to Radio Ray broadcasting live from the game.

Player Appearances

The Road Warriors are heading back to school! This week, the players will be visiting Hunt Meadows Elementary School, Armstrong Elementary School, and Mountain View Elementary School to teach the students about healthy eating and physical fitness. On Thursday, February 17th the players will be headed to Quaker Steak & Lube to help co-host their Trivia Night. Mitch Beck

Mitch Beck was a standup comedian and radio personality for over 25 years. His passion for hockey started with Team USA in 1980 when they defeated the Soviets at Lake Placid. He has also worked in hockey as a coach and administrator. He also works for USA Hockey as a Coach Developer. Mitch has been reporting on the New York Rangers, and exclusively on the Hartford Wolf Pack since 2005.
