GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that forward Andrew Rowe has been loaned to the club by the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League, and defenseman Lee Baldwin has been reassigned to the club by the New York Rangers from the Connecticut Whale.
Rowe returns for his second go-around with the Road Warriors after registering two points (1G, 1A) over three games from February 25 to February 27. He scored his first ECHL goal on February 26 in a 3-0 win at Toledo then assisted on Mark Voakes’ game-winning goal the next night in a 4-2 victory at Wheeling. In 54 games with the Phantoms this season Rowe has produced 12 points (7G, 5A) in his first season out of Michigan State. The 6-2, 185-pound winger out of Muskegon, Michigan signed with the Flyers following his junior season with the Spartans and prior to turning pro had 49 points (26G, 23A) in 94 games.
Baldwin, a rookie defenseman out of the University of Alaska-Anchorage, also is back for his second stint with the Road Warriors. The 6-4, 205-pound blueliner registered six points (1G, 5A) in 18 games with the Road Warriors between December 31, 2010 and February 15, 2010. He had a career-best two assists in Greenville’s 4-3 shootout win in Reading on January 28. He has appeared in 21 games this season with the Connecticut Whale including 10 after his most recent assignment to the Whale on February 16.
Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors are back on home ice tomorrow to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. The Road Warriors will debut their special St. Patrick’s Day jerseys which will be worn all weekend and auctioned off live following the game on Saturday.
