BLOCK PARTY IS BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Greenville Road WarriorsGREENVILLE, SC Another Road Warriors home playoff game means another pre-game block party at the BI-LO Center! Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Charter Business entrance.

We had such a great fan turnout last night that we knew we had to have another block party before our game tonight. It’s a perfect way to celebrate and get ready for another big playoff game that could send the team into the second round,” said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.

Fans can enjoy hot dogs from Como‘s Pete’s for free with the purchase of a playoff game program as well as half-priced beer throughout the party. As a special treat, the band RetroVertigo will be performing all the greatest 80’s hit music during the block party. RetroVertigo has been entertaining Upstate music fans with its high-energy shows at venues like Fall for Greenville, The Handlebar, and much more. There are also tons of kids’ activities at the party from face paiting to a bounce house to street hockey!

Tonight the Road Warriors host the Elmira Jackals in Game Four of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series at 7:35. Greenville leads the series two games to one and has a chance to advance to the second round tonight. Individual tickets for tonight’s game are on sale right now at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounted tickets and preferred seating based on availability. Groups can be booked by calling a Road Warriors representative at 864-674-PUCK. Game Five will be played, if necessary, at the BI-LO Center on Monday, April 11 at 7:35 p.m.

Mitch Beck was a standup comedian and radio personality for over 25 years. His passion for hockey started with Team USA in 1980 when they defeated the Soviets at Lake Placid. He has also worked in hockey as a coach and administrator. He also works for USA Hockey as a Coach Developer. Mitch has been reporting on the New York Rangers, and exclusively on the Hartford Wolf Pack since 2005.
