New York RWOJTEK WOLSKI TO UNDERGO SURGERY

Expected to be Sidelined Four Weeks

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Wojtek Wolski will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a sports hernia, and is expected to be sidelined four weeks.  The procedure will be performed by Dr. William Meyers at Core Performance Physicians in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Wolski has registered two assists in six games this season.  He has missed six games due to injury, including each of the last two contests.  The seven-year veteran is currently one game shy of his 400th career NHL appearance, and nine goals from 100 career NHL goals.
