TONIGHT’S GAME
The Rangers play their 30th game of the 2017-18 season tonight, Dec. 11, against the Dallas Stars at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m. ET – TV: MSG Network; Radio: ESPN 98.7 FM). New York has earned a win in seven of its last nine games (7-2-0 record), and the Rangers have outscored their opponents, 35-20, over the last nine games. The Blueshirts have won 13 of their last 17 games (13-4-0 record) and 15 of their last 21 contests (15-6-0 record). In addition, the Rangers have earned at least one point in 17 of their last 23 games (15-6-2 record).

- Lindy Ruff served as the Stars Head Coach for four seasons (2013-14 – 2016-17).

The Rangers have won 10 of their last 11 home games (10-1-0 record) and have outscored their opponents, 47-25, over the span. The Blueshirts have earned 10 wins in a span of 11 home games (within one season) for the first time since the team posted a 12-1-0 record over a stretch of 13 home contests from Oct. 20, 1982, o Dec. 15, 1982. New York has earned at least one point in 14 of 19 home games this season (12-5-2 record at MSG in 2017-18).

Lundqvist has made at least 30 saves in six of his last 10 appearances and in 11 of his last 21 appearances. He has been selected as one of the game’s Three Stars in 12 of his 25 appearances this season.
TRUE BLUE
Lundqvist earned his 419th career NHL win on Dec. 9 vs. New Jersey. Lundqvist, who has earned all of his 419 career NHL wins with the Rangers, passed Tony Esposito for the second-most wins a goaltender has earned with one franchise in league history (Esposito earned 418 wins with Chicago). The only goaltender in NHL history who has earned more career wins with one franchise than Lundqvist has with the Rangers is Martin Brodeur (688 with New Jersey).

Michael Grabner leads the NHL with six empty-net goals this season, and his six empty-net goals are tied for the fourth-most in one season in NHL history. Grabner has registered 14 points (12 goals, two assists) and a plus-14 rating in 19 home games this season, and he is tied for the NHL lead in goals at home in 2017-18. He ranks second in the NHL (min. 10 games played) in goals per 60 minutes of ice time this season (2.10).

LAST GAME

After the Devils scored to cut their deficit in half, Mats Zuccarello registered a goal with less than four minutes remaining in the second period to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead, and he tallied his second goal of the game in the third period to put New York ahead by three.
