On Apr. 23, Sweden announced its roster for the upcoming Sweden Hockey Games as part of the Euro Hockey Tour; Andersson will represent his country in the tournament, along with current Ranger Mika Zibanejad (the Sweden Hockey Games begin on Apr. 26 and end on Apr. 29).
- Filip Chytil represented the Czech Republic at the Carlson Hockey Games as part of the Euro Hockey Tour (EHT) during the past week. The Rangers’ first-round pick (21st overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft skated in three games with the Czech Republic, and he recorded a power-play goal on Apr. 22 against Russia. Chytil ranked fourth among all skaters in the tournament – and led all forwards in the tournament – in total ice time (51:38).

- Igor Shesterkin represented Russia at the Carlson Hockey Games as part of the Euro Hockey Tour (EHT) during the past week, where he was teammates with current Ranger Pavel Buchnevich. The Rangers’ fourth-round pick (118th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft appeared in two games during the tournament, posting a 2.04 GAA and a .922 SV% (47 saves on 51 shots) in the two contests.
- Tim Gettinger tallied an assist and led all skaters with six shots on goal while helping Sault Ste. Marie win Game 1 of its third round series against Kitchener on Apr. 20. The Rangers’ fifth-round pick (141st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has recorded 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) and a plus-six rating in 13 playoff contests this year. Gettinger has established OHL playoff career-highs in games played, assists, and points in the 2018 Playoffs. He ranks third on Sault Ste. Marie in assists and shots on goal (45), is tied for fourth on the team in points and ranks fifth on the team in plus/minus rating in the playoffs this year.
- Sean Day registered an assist/point in two of Kingston’s three games in its third round series against Hamilton during the past week (two assists over the span). The Rangers’ third-round pick (81st overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft has registered 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 14 playoff games thus far this year. Day is tied for third among OHL defensemen in goals and is tied for fifth among OHL defensemen in assists and points in the 2018 Playoffs. Dating back to the regular season, he has registered 32 points (three goals, 29 assists) in his last 31 OHL contests.
