SHELLEY: RABBITS DROP MEETING WITH EVERBLADES

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits fell to the Florida Everblades 4-0 in the season’s first meeting for the two clubs at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Friday night.

An early power play opportunity for the Everblades led to a one-timer goal from Joe Pendenza at the 3:57 mark, giving Florida the 1-0 lead.

In the second, the Everblades scored an early goal to extend their lead to 2-0 after a back-side tip by Blake Winiecki at 3:07 into the period.

Midway through the third, John McCarron scored the third goal for Florida at 9:44 before a late goal from Pendenza at 14:38 would secure the 4-0 Everblades victory.

FUTURE SCHEDULE

Greenville will remain at home on Saturday night for their second meeting of the season with the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m.
