Hartford Wolf Pack Head Coach Kris Knoblauch saw changes come to his lineup after the New York Rangers completed a two-game sweep of the defending Stanley Cup Champion, Tampa Bay Lightning.  Knoblauch was informed that Matt Robertson was sent back to Hartford while a recall came for Tarmo Reunanen to the Big Apple.

Following almost two weeks without playing, Reunanen was solid all over the ice in Sunday’s 4-3 Wolf Pack loss at the XL Center to the visiting Rochester Americans.

Robertson, who was on the taxi squad in New York, hasn’t played a game in over two weeks, and the 6’4 defenseman is likely being sent back to Hartford to stay in condition and get in some much-needed game reps.

Defenseman Michael Brodzinski, one of Pack captain Jonny Brodzinski’s (who is still on New York’s taxi squad) three younger siblings, and Mike Lee (Hamden/Gunnery Prep) return to the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL) and the Indy Fuel (ECHL), respectively on Monday.

With these player moves, the Pack resembles its old, more dominant lineup as they head out on the road to take on Rochester and the Utica Comets this weekend.

NOTES:

After two games with the Belleville Senators, former CT Whale / New York Ranger, Michael Del Zotto is recalled to the parent Ottawa Senators to be on their taxi squad.

Craig Martin, (Quinnipiac University) signs a PTO with the Charlotte Checkers. He was with the Jacksonville Icemen (ECHL).

Ex-Pack goalie J.F. Berube heads from the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) to the Columbus Blue Jackets’ taxi squad.
