DOIG HEADED FOR WARMER TEMPS

Hartford Wolf Pack CT Lottery Tyler Doig was released from his Professional Try Out agreement today by the Wolf Pack sending the young forward back to Charlotte. This move means that the organization feels comfortable that right wing Dale Weise will be well enough to return to the lineup from his hand injury when the Pack resume play Friday night at home against the Lowell Devils.

WOLF PACK RELEASE FORWARD TYLER DOIG FROM PTO

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has released forward Tyler Doig from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.

Doig was scoreless and even in two games, after signing a PTO with the Wolf Pack on Saturday.  At the time of his joining the Wolf Pack from the ECHL’s Charlotte Checkers, Doig was tied for the ECHL lead in assists and stood fifth in the league in points, with 11 goals and 37 assists for 48 points in 40 games. Those totals were good for the Charlotte team lead in points and assists, and his 101 penalty minutes were second-most on the Checker club.

The Wolf Pack are back on the ice at the XL Center tomorrow night, Friday, January 29, taking on the Lowell Devils at 7:00 PM.  Being a Friday home game, that is a Guida’s Family Value Night.  Family Value packages start as low as $45 and include three tickets, three hot dogs or pizza slices, three sodas and a Wolf Pack souvenir.  Guida’s Family Value Night packs are available at the XL Center box office and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
