The BI-LO Center will go to the dogs on Saturday, March 24 when the Road Warriors host Pucks and Paws presented by Cleveland Park Animal Hospitals and Upstate Veterinary Specialists.

For Pucks and Paws Night the Road Warriors are inviting all fans to bring their friendly dogs with them to the game. It will not cost fans anything extra to bring a dog to the game; just buy a ticket and your pup gets to come enjoy the game with you! The night will include a dog fun zone, a Small Dog Derby on the ice, fun treats for the dogs, and more! Dogs are allowed to sit with their owners anywhere in the arena except for Sections 110, 111, and 112. Those sections are reserved as dog-free sections, and any fan who wishes to sit away from the dogs can request a seat in one of those sections.

Dog Night 2011“Last season we had quite the memorable night when we allowed our fans to bring their dogs to the game. It was a fun and unique atmosphere and everyone with the Road Warriors is very much looking forward to this year’s Pucks and Paws Night. We’re also thrilled to have Cleveland Park Animal Hospitals and Upstate Veterinary Specialists on board as presenting sponsors,” said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.

The highlight of the night will be the Small Dog Derby. Fans with dogs 20 pounds or lighter can contact the Road Warriors in advance and register their dog for the race. At the first intermission the Small Dog Derby will be held on the ice in front of thousands of fans. The dogs will start at one goal line with one of their owners then race across the ice to their other owner perched at the far goal line. The winner of the Small Dog Derby will take home a Road Warriors prize pack. To register your dog for the Small Dog Derby call 864-250-4765.
