GREENVILLE, SC- The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they have received Lee Baldwin on reassignment by the New York Rangers from the Connecticut Whale and signed Neil Graham out of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Baldwin, a rookie, began this season with the Whale of the American Hockey League and skated in 11 games for the Road Warriors’ affiliate. The 6-4, 205-pound defenseman is in his first season out of the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Baldwin played one collegiate season before signing a pro contract with the New York Rangers on March 22, 2010. Following his season with UAA, the 22 year old played seven games with the Hartford Wolf Pack on a tryout contract and scored one goal.
Graham, also a rookie, comes to Greenville from Augusta of the SPHL where he was leading the team with 14 goals and was second with 29 points. Graham attended training camp with the Road Warriors in October and played two preseason games. The 5-10, 185-pound forward out of Mercyhurst College was called up earlier this season to the South Carolina Stingrays and played four games.
Additionally, the Road Warriors had two players called up to the AHL. Cullen Eddy was recalled from his loan to Greenville by the Adirondack Phantoms and Justin Bowers was loaned to the Portland Pirates. It is Eddy’s third call up to the AHL this season and Bowers’ second.
