Howlings caught up with Michael Del Zotto for the first time since he was sent down by the New York Rangers a couple of weeks ago.
Del Zotto had a big smile on his face after he and the rest of the Connecticut Whale had just knocked off the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins, the first place team overall in the American Hockey League, with ta terrific 6-3 win at the XL Center.
A member of last season’s NHL All-Rookie Team, Del Zotto was open and candid talking with Howlings for a few moments…

January 18, 2011 at 10:04 AMThanks for all the hard work you do covering the whale Mitch! Great to hear that MDZ is working on regaining his confidence. I know the Rangers could use a PP QB in the worst way so I’m hoping he can get everything in his game situated.

January 18, 2011 at 10:29 AMThe kind words mean a lot to me Michael. In tough economic times like this, and I’m in the Employment Industry so you can imagine how tough things are right now, getting a compliment from time to time really matters to me.
Mike is a good kid. I think he’s going to be just fine and he’ll get his chance to get back up there. I just think it might not be this season…unless someone gets hurt.
