According to a report on TSN.ca, the New York Rangers have placed forward Patrick Rissmiller on waivers. Should the forward clear waivers, which is not likely, he would most likely be heading to Hartford.
Rissmiller was one of the Rangers first signing on the first day of free agency where he signed a $1mm contract.
More on this story as it develops.

October 26, 2008 at 11:00 PMRissmiller may have been put on waivers, may have cleared waivers. But Sat nite Ranger game (10/25)against Pitt had Rissmiller listed as a scratch. I take this as -not sent down to Hartford but available for claim by other teams in NHL .

October 28, 2008 at 6:38 AMNot sent down but not claimed. So he can be sent down at some point without going thru again, but FYI he is NOT still available for other teams to claim. Not sure if/when waiver clearance expires, whether its a date, or based on subsequent games-played.
