LONG TIME PACK FAN PASSES AWAY

Bill Fleischmann sent this sad news to Howlings today…

We lost one of our lifetime fans the other day.

I don’t know if you knew Claire, she sat in section 118  for years for the Pack and Whalers.

She was there even after her husband passed away a few years back.

Clairette M. HEBERT (Poitraw)

HEBERT, Clairette M. (Poitraw) Clairette "Claire" M. (Poitraw) Hebert, 72, of East Hartford, loving wife of forty-one years to the late Kenneth O. Hebert, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, (December 15, 2009) at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Born in Presque Isle, ME on June 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Andrew and Cecila (O’Clair) Poitraw, she had resided in East Hartford for the past forty-four years. Clairette was a graduate of Ashland Community High School.

We didn’t know Claire but to those who did and cared for her, we send our deepest condolences.

Mitch Beck

Mitch Beck was a standup comedian and radio personality for over 25 years. His passion for hockey started with Team USA in 1980 when they defeated the Soviets at Lake Placid. He has also worked in hockey as a coach and administrator. He also works for USA Hockey as a Coach Developer. Mitch has been reporting on the New York Rangers, and exclusively on the Hartford Wolf Pack since 2005.
