POST-GAME QUOTES

John Tortorella on tonight’s game…

“We were sluggish early on and Boston won a lot of races to the puck.  We had some struggles as far as their quickness, but there was no panic.  For such a young group, to stay within themselves is a great lesson.  It is obviously a huge two points.  We still control our own destiny.  We will enjoy, get ready tomorrow, and get ready for Atlanta.”

Henrik Lundqvist on blocking shots…

“They are there every night doing that.  I think everyone is doing a great job paying the price.  We are going to need it.  We are going to need guys to sacrifice their bodies.  That is the way we play…we play hard.  When we do that we have a much better shot to win.”

Brandon Dubinsky on the atmosphere in The Garden…

“It gives you goose bumps.  It is a feeling you can’t describe.  We fought so hard.  We needed these points and that part of it makes it more emotional.  We want to keep ourselves in the driver’s seat.  That being said, we had a couple of minutes left in the game, so we had to settle the bench down and defend against one of the best teams in the league.”
