The Greenville Road Warriors will host their second-annual Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, December 16 at their game against the Florida Everblades at the BI-LO Center.
“The Teddy Bear Toss is one of our favorite promotions of the season. First, it benefits a great cause – Toys for Tots and second, it creates a really fun atmosphere when fans have the opportunity to throw stuffed animals onto the ice. Everyone with the Road Warriors is looking forward to a great response from our fans, and is hoping to collect more bears for the children this holiday season,” said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.
The Road Warriors are asking all fans to bring a new, or gently used, stuffed animal with them to the game against Florida on Friday, December 16 at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. When the Road Warriors score their first goal it is time to throw the stuffed animals out onto the ice. All of the collected stuffed animals will be donated to Ellis and Bradley’s Stuff the Truck event benefiting Toys for Tots.
It is the second year in a row that the Road Warriors have partnered with the Ellis and Bradley Morning Show on WSSL 100.5 for their Teddy Bear Toss game. Last season the Road Warriors, on behalf of their fans, donated 1,142 stuffed animals to Stuff the Truck and Toys for Tots. The Road Warriors are counting on their fans to help get that number over 2,000 this year.
Group tickets are still available for Friday’s Teddy Bear Toss. Your group of 10 or more can get discounts off of the box office price and preferred seating based on availability by booking through the Road Warriors. Call 864-674-PUCK (7825) to set up your group outing with the Road Warriors.
