LEE BALDWIN REASSIGNED TO ECHL GREENVILLE
Connecticut Whale general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned defenseman Lee Baldwin from the Whale to its ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Road Warriors.
Baldwin, a second-year pro, is scoreless with two penalty minutes and 10 shots on goal in 16 games this year with the Whale. In 11 ECHL outings with the Road Warriors, Baldwin has scored three goals, has nine penalty minutes and is +5.
Baldwin was signed as a free agent by the Rangers March 22, 2010, out of the University of Alaska-Anchorage.
The Whale’s next action is tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 18, as Connecticut travels to Portland for a 6:30 PM game. All the “Rockin’ Hockey” action of that contest can be heard live on “The Rock” 106.9 WCCC-FM.
The Whale are next on home ice this Friday night, January 20, as the Atlantic Division-leading St. John’s IceCaps invade the XL Center for a 7:00 game.
