HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack hit the road for a pair of games in Chocolatetown this weekend. The Wolf Pack and Hershey Bears will meet for the final two times on Saturday and Sunday, part of the Wolf Pack’s current five-game road trip.
Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at Hershey Bears (7:00 p.m.)
Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at Hershey Bears (5:00 p.m.): The Wolf Pack and Bears will battle it out on Saturday and Sunday to conclude their four-game season series.
The Wolf Pack are 2-0-0-0 in the season series thanks to a pair of victories on home ice. They blanked the Bears 3-0 in the series opener on Dec. 11. Dylan Garand made 31 saves to collect his second shutout of the season, while Jake Leschyshyn scored a pair of power play goals. His first strike of the night, 8:52 into the second period, was the eventual game-winning goal.
Nathan Sucese also scored in the win, while Matthew Robertson recorded three assists.
The Wolf Pack picked up a 4-3 victory in the most recent meeting on Mar. 21. The Bears led 3-1 3:33 into the second period on goals from Hendrix Lapierre, Brad Hunt, and Riley Sutter, but the Wolf Pack would score the game’s final three goals to pick up a key victory.
Bryce McConnell-Barker and Dylan Roobroeck scored late in the second period to tie the game 3-3. Roobroeck then scored on a backdoor feed from Blade Jenkins 14:34 into the third period to give the Wolf Pack the lead for good. The goal was Roobroeck’s first career game-winning strike.
Noah Laba, making his pro debut, also scored in the win. He struck shorthanded in the opening period.

WOLF PACK RE-SIGN DEFENSEMAN BLAKE HILLMAN
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has signed defenseman Blake Hillman to a one-year contract extension. The deal will cover the 2025-26 season.
Hillman, 29, has scored ten points (3 g, 7 a) and posted a +8 +/- rating in 47 games with the Wolf Pack this season, his third with the club.
The native of Elk River, MN, set career-high marks in goals (4), assists (11), and points (15) during the 2023-24 season as a member of the Wolf Pack while skating in a career-high 60 games.
Over three seasons in Hartford, Hillman has appeared in 136 games with the Wolf Pack, scoring 30 points (7 g, 23 a).
Hillman has skated in 232 career AHL games with the Wolf Pack, Grand Rapids Griffins, Providence Bruins, Stockton Heat, and Rockford IceHogs, scoring 44 points (8 g, 36 a). He has also skated in four NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring a goal.
Hillman was selected in the sixth round, 173rd overall, by the Blackhawks in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

WOLF PACK INK FORWARD SULLIVAN MACK TO ONE-YEAR DEAL
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has agreed to a one-year, standard AHL player contract with forward Sullivan Mack for the 2025-26 season.
Mack, 24, will join the Wolf Pack on an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The native of Anchorage, AK, recorded career-high marks in goals (9), assists (15), points (24), +/- (+13), and games played (32) as a senior with Cornell University this season.
Mack appeared in 106 career games with the Big Red over the course of four seasons, recording 53 points (23 g, 30 a). He helped lead the program to back-to-back ECAC Championships in 2024 and 2025.
G TALYN BOYKO REASSIGNED TO ECHL’S TULSA OILERS
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Talyn Boyko to the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
Boyko, 22, has appeared in 31 games with the Oilers this season, posting a record of 19-7-5. The native of Drumheller, AB, has recorded a .915 save percentage, a 2.63 goals-against average, and two shutouts in his 31 appearances.
With the Wolf Pack, Boyko has appeared in two games this season, posting a record of 1-1-0. He made 32 saves in his first career AHL start on Dec. 31, 2024, against the Springfield Thunderbirds, collecting both his first career AHL shutout and victory.
He also recorded an assist, his first point in the AHL.
Boyko was selected in the fourth round, 112th overall, by the Rangers in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
WOLF PACK SIGN G CALLUM TUNG TO AMATEUR TRYOUT AGREEMENT
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has agreed to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with goaltender Callum Tung for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Tung, 21, posted a record of 10-4-1 with a .933 save percentage and a 2.01 goals-against average in 15 appearances as a freshman with the University of Connecticut this season.
The native of Port Moody, BC, was named to the Hockey East’s All-Rookie Team following the 2024-25 campaign.
Prior to joining the Huskies, Tung spent the 2023-24 season with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL. In 38 games, the 6’3”, 198-pound netminder posted a record of 22-14-1 with a .917 save percentage, 2.80 goals-against average, and three shutouts.
Tung agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Rangers this morning that will begin with the 2025-26 season.
WOLF PACK FALL 2-1 TO BRUINS
PROVIDENCE, RI – The Hartford Wolf Pack and Providence Bruins faced off in a playoff-style battle on Saturday night in Providence. Two third period goals from the Bruins proved to be the difference, however, as they skated away with a 2-1 decision.
Riley Tufte won a battle for the puck deep in the Wolf Pack’s zone late in regulation time. After gaining possession, Tufte centered a pass to Jaxon Nelson. Nelson snapped a shot by Dylan Garand at 14:54, giving the Bruins the lead for good. The tally was Nelson’s second of the season.
Garand was sensational for the Wolf Pack in the opening frame, making ten saves to keep the Bruins off the board. He allowed the club to get their footing on the road, which paid major dividends in the final moments of the period.
Alex Belzile struck for the second straight game at 19:08, as he broke the ice with a five-on-five tally. Belzile settled a bouncing puck at the offensive blue line, got just inside the left-wing circle, and snapped a shot that beat Brandon Bussi for his team-leading 18th goal of the season.
The Wolf Pack outshot the Bruins 12-9 in the second period but could not extend their lead. Dylan Roobroeck had the best chance of the period for the Wolf Pack, creating a partial breakaway. His bid missed by the glove of Bussi, however, keeping it a 1-0 spread.
Tyler Pitlick stung his former team 2:05 into the third period, tying the game. Pitlick worked his way down the right-wing side, cut to the front of the net, and deposited a backhand bid by Garand’s right pad.
Nelson’s goal late in the period gave the Bruins the lead for good. It proved to be Nelson’s first career game-winning goal.
The Wolf Pack applied pressure six-on-five late, but Bussi slammed the door shut, clinching the Bruins a Calder Cup Playoff berth.
The loss marked the Wolf Pack’s second regulation loss all season when leading after two periods of play. Both losses have come against the Bruins.
The Wolf Pack continue their road trip next weekend with a set of back-to-back games in Hershey against the Hershey Bears. The weekend set begins on Saturday, Apr. 5, and the puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. Coverage is available on AHLTV on FloHockey and Mixlr.

WOLF PACK RECALL F BRETT BUDGELL FROM LOAN TO ECHL’S BLOOMINGTON BISON
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has recalled forward Brett Budgell from loan to the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison.
Budgell, 23, has scored four assists in eleven games with the Wolf Pack this season. He has also skated in 40 games with the Bison, recording 33 points (12 g, 21 a). He currently sits tied for third on the Bison in goals and is third on the club in points.
The native of St. John’s, NL, has appeared in 30 career AHL games with the Wolf Pack and Iowa Wild, scoring five assists.

WOLF PACK LOAN D RYAN SIEDEM TO ECHL’S BLOOMINGTON BISON
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that defenseman Ryan Siedem has been loaned to the ECHL’s Bloomington Bison.
Siedem, 24, has scored one assist in five appearances with the Wolf Pack this season. He recorded his first career AHL assist on Oct. 19, 2024, against the Bridgeport Islanders.
The native of Madison, NJ, has also recorded 18 points (3 g, 15 a) in 37 games with the Bison as a rookie. He ranks eleventh overall on the team in scoring and third in scoring among defensemen.

RANGERS RECALL F NICOLAS AUBÉ-KUBEL FROM WOLF PACK
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has recalled forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
Aubé-Kubel, 28, has scored one goal in three games with the Wolf Pack this season. He recorded the overtime winner in the club’s 2-1 triumph over the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday night.
Additionally, Aubé-Kubel has spent time with the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres and the AHL’s Rochester Americans this season. He recorded eight points (4 g, 4 a) in 12 games with the Americans and two points (1 g, 1 a) in 19 games with the Sabres.
The native of Slave Lake, AB, was acquired by the Rangers from the Sabres on Mar. 7 in exchange for defenseman Erik Brännström.
In 301 career NHL games with the Sabres, Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, and Philadelphia Flyers, Aubé-Kubel has recorded 80 points (32 g, 48 a). He’s also appeared in 255 career AHL games with the Wolf Pack, Americans, Hershey Bears, and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, scoring 117 points (56 g, 61 a).
Aubé-Kubel was selected in the second round, 48th overall, by the Flyers in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

WOLF PACK WEEKEND RECAP: MARCH 24th, 2025
HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack earned their second three-game winning streak of the season on Saturday night on home ice against the Milwaukee Admirals.
The win concluded a perfect weekend at the XL Center, where the club is now 6-1-0-1 in their last eight games.
Friday, March 21st, 2025, Vs. Hershey Bears (4-3 W): The kids are alright in Hartford. Noah Laba, Bryce McConnell-Barker, and Dylan Roobroeck paced the offense in a key victory on home ice for the Wolf Pack.
Hendrix Lapierre opened the scoring 4:39 into the game for the Bears, but Laba responded at 8:17. In his professional debut, Laba was sprung in on a shorthanded breakaway. He beat Clay Stevenson with a forehand shot for his first career AHL goal.
Brad Hunt and Riley Sutter both struck to give Hershey a 3-1 lead, but the Wolf Pack would take over from there. McConnell-Barker lit the lamp on a shot from distance at 10:00 of the second period, then 7:28 later at 17:28 Roobroeck ripped a shot over the right shoulder of Stevenson to tie the game.
At 14:34 of the third period, Roobroeck took a pass at the backdoor from Blade Jenkins to pot the eventual game-winning strike.
The win earned the Wolf Pack at least a split of the four-game regular season series with the Bears. The sides meet again in Hershey on Apr. 5 and 6.
Saturday, March 22md, 2025, Vs. Milwaukee Admirals (2-1 OTW): Dylan Garand and Magnus Chrona were the stars of the show on Saturday night. Both netminders were perfect through 40 minutes of play, with Garand making 19 saves in the Hartford net.
Brandon Scanlin broke the ice 19 seconds into the third period, beating a screened Chrona with a point shot for his seventh goal of the season.
From there, the Admirals controlled the final stanza. They outshot the Wolf Pack 15-7, but Garand made 14 saves to ensure at least a point for the home side. Grigori Denisenko fired the only shot that beat Garand on this night. While attacking six-on-five late, Denisenko struck from the right-wing circle at 18:34 to force the extra session.
In overtime, veteran forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel scored his first goal with the Wolf Pack to give the team a massive second point. Aubé-Kubel rushed coast-to-coast and then beat Chrona through the five-hole at 1:54 to complete the season series sweep for the Wolf Pack.

- Roobroeck led the Wolf Pack in scoring over the weekend with four points (2 g, 2 a). He currently has a three-game point streak in which he has scored six points (4 g, 2 a).
- Garand has won three straight starts and four of his last five. During the club’s current three-game winning streak, Garand is 3-0-0 with a .929 save percentage.
- After a four-for-four performance on Saturday night, the Wolf Pack’s penalty killing unit is 22-for-their-last-24. The club has scored one shorthanded goal in that span as well.

WOLF PACK SIGN D JACKSON DORRINGTON TO AMATEUR TRYOUT AGREEMENT
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers Assistant General Manager and Hartford Wolf Pack General Manager Ryan Martin announced today that the club has agreed to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with defenseman Jackson Dorrington for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
Dorrington, 20, scored a career-high 13 assists and 15 points (2 g, 13 a) with Northeastern University as a junior this season. He scored a career-high six goals as a sophomore during the 2023-24 campaign.
The native of North Reading, MA, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Rangers earlier today. His draft rights were acquired by the club on Jan. 31 along with forward J.T. Miller and defenseman Erik Brännström from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Filip Chytil, defenseman Victor Mancini, and a conditional first round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Dorrington was selected by the Canucks in the sixth round, 176th overall, of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
The 6’2”, 192-pound defenseman skated in 105 games over three season with the Huskies, scoring 33 points (2 g, 18 a).

AUBÉ-KUBEL STRIKES IN OVERTIME AS WOLF PACK DOWN ADIRMALS 2-1
HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack won their third straight game on Saturday night, downing the Milwaukee Admirals 2-1 in overtime at the XL Center. This marks the club’s second three-game winning streak of the season.
Nicolas Aubé-Kubel darted out of his own zone, through the neutral zone, and into the offensive zone before he fired a shot from the high-slot that beat Magnus Chrona through the five-hole 1:54 into the extra session. The goal was the veteran forward’s first as a member of the Wolf Pack and his 15th career game-winning goal in the AHL.
Each team had a power play in the opening period, but neither side was able to break the ice. Dylan Garand made 13 saves in the period to keep the Admirals off the board, while Chrona made eleven stops for the visitors.
The Wolf Pack outshot the Admirals 9-6 in the second period, but both Garand and Chrona were perfect again. Each team had two power plays in the middle stanza, but once again neither unit was able to break the ice.
Brandon Scanlin finally broke the ice 19 seconds into the third period, firing a shot from the left-wing point that beat a screen Chrona. The goal gives the defenseman points in back-to-back games (1 g, 1 a). Bryce McConnell-Barker and Blade Jenkins collected the assists on the goal, giving them both points in back-to-back contests.
The Admirals pushed hard in the final frame, outshooting the Wolf Pack 15-7. Finally, at 18:34, they evened the game with a six-on-five tally. Grigori Denisenko fired a shot from the right-wing circle that beat Garand for his 12th goal of the season. It marked the second six-on-five goal for the Admirals against the Wolf Pack this season.
Aubé-Kubel saved the night for the Wolf Pack early in overtime, scoring on the only shot of the extra session to give the club a key second point.

WOLF PACK STORM BACK TO DOWN BEARS 4-3
HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Wolf Pack scored three unanswered goals on Friday night, storming back to down the Hershey Bears by a 4-3 score at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. The win was the second in a row for the Wolf Pack.
Dylan Roobroeck scored his second career game-winning goal 14:34 into the third period, finishing a feed from Blade Jenkins. Defenseman Jon McDonald left the puck behind in his own zone, allowing Jenkins to gain possession. Jenkins fed Roobroeck on the left-wing side, who made no mistake as he potted his second goal of the night.
The goal, Roobroeck’s 15th of the season, gives him back-to-back games with multiple goals.
The Bears opened the scoring 4:39 into the hockey game as Hendrix Lapierre snapped home his fifth goal of the season from the left-wing circle. The goal was Lapierre’s first in seven games.
Alex Belzile took the game’s only penalty at 7:13, as he was whistled for hooking. The Wolf Pack’s penalty kill continued a hot stretch, killing their 18th penalty in their last 20 times shorthanded. The penalty kill also provided some offense as Noah Laba scored his first career professional goal at 8:17. Laba sped into the offensive zone on a breakaway and beat Clay Stevenson with a forehand shot.
Laba’s shorthanded goal was Hartford’s eighth this season. Anton Blidh picked up the only assist, giving him helpers in back-to-back games.
Brad Hunt restored the lead at 12:59, however. Hunt walked into the left-wing circle and snapped a shot by Dylan Garand for his first goal in 12 games. Hunt finished the opening period with two points (1 g, 1 a).
Riley Sutter extended the lead to 3-1 3:33 into the second period, tipping home his fourth goal of the season. Brennan Saulnier sent a pass from the left-wing wall to Sutter at the back door. There, the veteran forward tipped home his first goal in 15 games.
Two goals in 7:28 would draw the Wolf Pack even heading into the final frame. Bryce McConnell-Barker made it 3-2 at the 10:00 mark, ripping a shot from distance that snuck by the blocker of Stevenson.
Roobroeck tied the game at 17:28, taking a tap-pass from Jenkins inside the right-wing circle and ripping a shot top-shelf by Stevenson. The goal was Roobroeck’s second point (1 g, 1 a) of the period and the 14th goal of his rookie season.
Roobroeck’s second goal of the game late in the third period gave the Wolf Pack the lead for good. Jenkins had the lone assist on the goal, giving him two on the night and eight on the season.
Garand made nine saves in the final frame, collecting his 18th win of the campaign.
RANGERS ASSIGN D CHAD RUHWEDEL TO AHL’S HARTFORD WOLF PACK
HARTFORD, CT – New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack.
Ruhwedel, 34, has recorded 12 points (3 g, 9 a) in 36 games with the Wolf Pack this season. He has also appeared in five games with the Rangers, recording an assist.
The native of San Diego, CA, split the 2023-24 season between the Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was acquired by the Rangers from the Penguins on Mar. 7, 2024.
He scored four points (1 g, 3 a) in 47 games with the Penguins prior to the trade, then skated in five regular season games with the Rangers.
Ruhwedel has recorded a point in each of his last four games with the Wolf Pack, scoring two goals and adding three assists in that span.

Robertson was selected in the second round, 49th overall, of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Rangers.
