Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors begin a five-game, eight-day road trip by visiting the Elmira Jackals for the first time since the 2011 Kelly Cup playoffs.
The Road Warriors (31-18-4, 66 pts.) visit Elmira (30-19-4, 64 pts.) today for the first, and only, meeting between the clubs this season. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at Greenvilleroadwarriors.com. The Road Warriors and Jackals are meeting up for the first time since the 2011 Kelly Cup playoffs. Greenville won the first round series three games to one thanks to Sean Berkstresser’s clinching goal in double overtime of Game Four. Tonight’s match up features the two teams with the highest win totals in the Eastern Conference. The Jackals have won two of their last five home games and lost the most recent game at First Arena, 8-1, to Trenton on February 18. Greenville, meanwhile, is playing its first road game since winning 4-1 at South Carolina on February 7. Greenville is 4-2-0 in its last six road games.
Fans can head to Bailey’s Sports Grille (2409 Laurens Rd. in Greenville) for an official Road Warriors watch party tonight. Grab some friends and get there for the Road Warriors up on the big screen and great food and drinks at Bailey’s!
