POTTER AND JOHNSON DOWN…ZABA UP…WIIKMAN IN LIMBO

Hartford Wolf Pack CT Lottery The goaltender shuffle continues as Chad Johnson will get in a couple of games with the Wolf Pack this weekend and they’ll have Corey Potter with him on the blue line. Matt Zaba has been sent to sit on the bench for a couple of days with the best seats in the house to watch the Rangers play.

This also means that the likelihood of Miika Wiikman getting in a game anytime soon is pretty remote. Perhaps the organization will give the Finnish netminder the Monday 1pm game against the Portland Pirates. Wiikman has been “lights-out” in Charlotte for the Checkers this season and his hard work and loyalty to the entire organization deserves to be rewarded with a chance to either show the Rangers brass or a potential suitors that he can play at this level and beyond.

doubt they’ll start Miika against Portland…they’re the team we’re chasing in the standings and Miika hasn’t played, so I doubt they’d want to send him in cold in such an important game. Maybe start him at home against Bridgeport and let Johnny have weekend bookends….?
