While the team didn’t get into the playoffs for the first time in their history, congratulations to the Hartford Wolf Pack sales department for a terrific achievement in the face of a terrible economy and a team that really struggled on the ice, the team was recognized by the AHL as, having, “…enjoyed the top revenue growth in group-ticket sales among Eastern Conference teams.” We have come to know the entire staff and know just how hard they’ve worked and they deserve this recognition.
Here’s the official release:

Recognized for Top Eastern Conference Revenue Growth in Group-ticket Sales
The American Hockey League today honored the Hartford Wolf Pack in conjunction with the AHL’s Team Business Services program. The Wolf Pack was recognized for having enjoyed the top revenue growth in group-ticket sales among Eastern Conference teams.
The Wolf Pack accomplished explosive expansion of its group sales during the 2009-10 season, increasing group-ticket revenue by more than 50% over the previous season. The Pack’s total group receipts for 2009-10 topped $500,000. Wolf Pack sponsorship sales revenue was up significantly over 2008-09 as well, increasing by 24%.
The AHL’s Team Business Services program honored teams from each conference for top revenue growth in four areas. In addition to group-ticket sales, categories included season-ticket sales, overall ticket sales and corporate sales.
Season tickets for the Wolf Pack’s 2010-11 AHL season are on sale now. For information on season seats, and all of the Wolf Pack’s many ticketing options, visit www.hartfordwolfpack.com, or call the Wolf Pack ticket office at (860) 548-2000 to talk with an account executive today.
