September 10, 2008 at 9:21 PM9,769 is considered a sell out? Is that because they block off the upper areas?
I thought 12,000+ was a sell out (like the night they retired the Whalers jerseys for Ulf and Kevin)

September 10, 2008 at 9:24 PM9769 is a sellout for exactly the reason that you mentioned. The team has the capacity to increase the amount of available tickets if they needed to by, again doing what you suggest, and raising the curtains. Remember a sell out isn’t the number of seat in the arena it’s the number of tickets made available to purchase.
